I am still getting over a rather horrible relationship with a KitchenAid Java Studio w/ Thermal Carafe so I am possibly not being objective BUT... This coffee maker is incredible. Coffee is full-bodied without being bitter. I was worried that the hot plate would cause the coffee to taste "cooked" or burnt, well it doesn't, even after two hours. Get it! I may go buy an extra one for when the current one needs to be replaced.

Love the first cup this morning so no complaints. Easy to use and program. I do wonder why they eliminated the 5 minute carafe warming feature like I had in my older Krups, of about 5 years? It was so nice for the coffee to be brewed into a warm vessel. Oh well..... CFA

I have to agree with the other reviews here. The Dahlstrom does not only make great coffee, is easy to use, it is also very solidly built. I find that I can grind my beans fairly fine to get the the richest and most flavorful cup. I do pour the coffee into a thermos after it has finished brewing. This seems to preserve the flavor longer.

I've had this model for about a month now. It makes good coffee, is simple to operate, and looks nice on the counter. It's a bit awkward to fill, using the carafe, as the water reservoir opening is back near the hinge, but that is a minor complaint. I'm curious if anyone uses the "Aroma" selector? What is it for? I've read "Aroma selector for small batches". Does that mean you push the button when you're making less than 12 cups? I like this drip machine, and would recommend it to others.
