Not a good start , Dec 03, 2009
Reviewer: Marc Maynard of Walpole/MA
Have had this for only a week or two, but am awaiting a replacement carafe from Capresso; this brand new unit leaks below the pouring spout where the stainless steel meets the black band, and even worse, at the back of the unit where the handle is attached; one can hear liquid inside the "empty" carafe, so the inner lining seems compromised; Capresso has indicated a replacement is being mailed..stay tuned if you are interested in the outcome...

Great New Machine , Dec 08, 2009
Reviewer: Jim Turcheon of NY
I used to have the Team Therm for many years and this new one is just much more compact. I also like the styling. I have only had it for about 1 week but it makes great coffee and i am very happy with it so far.

FABULOUS COFFEE MAKER (THANK YOU KOFFEE KLATSCH) , Apr 28, 2010
Reviewer: Lili Garrett of Florida
This Capresso is a fabulous coffee maker (I retired my older Capresso Coffee Team model purchased in 2007 and opted for this new one). Equally impressive is Koffee Klatsch's excellent service and terms (no sales tax and free delivery - we received this Capresso all the way from California - we live in Florida - in less than a week; it arrived in excellent condition with free coffee).
I read all the reviews (good and not-so-good) about this Capresso from as many web sites as I could find (I learn a lot from other consumers' experiences and mistakes).
Common sense when dealing with an appliance (especially a new one) is a good thing.
Contrary to some other negative reviews, these are my experiences: my bedroom is not near the kitchen, so the sound of coffee beans grinding is not an issue - nor does my dog run for cover when the burr grinder begins the grinding process. The light on the panel serves as a good night-light - it is not "blinding". Based on the design of the carafe, a little coffee does remain behind. I run fresh water from the tap, swirl it, and empty the carafe. I dry it with a paper towel. My hand easily fits inside the carafe. My carafe does not leak. The coffee is fabulously HOT (I usually make 6 cups) and it stays hot. The steam that is emitted during the brewing process is slight - you can see it - but it does not leave my wood cabinets "wet and dripping".
The unit is light when compared to my former Capresso model and easily fits on the counter. The Capresso has a panel facing you - it is front-and-center with super easy-to-read (and adjust) time, number of cups, strength of coffee, etc. The inside of the unit has water-level markings that look like little "steps" - easy to see. The coffee bean container is fairly large (fits a lot of beans). The filter holder is easy to operate and clean. This Capresso is a JOY. If you love your coffee you will love this unit.
The only "problem" I experienced had nothing to do with the Capresso. We purchased some flat-bottomed paper filters at a local drug store (200 for $1.99). It never occured to me that quality (not-so-good) of filters could affect anything - live and learn - it left coffee grounds in the carafe and the coffee did not drip through properly. I folded over the good quality cone filters I still had from my other Capresso so they would fit the flat-bottomed filter holder. There were no more issues.
Get this Capresso (from the good people at Koffee Klatsch) and enjoy your coffee the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

YUMMM! , Mar 30, 2010

I decided to purchase the Capresso TS after i read reviews that the initial problem with the carafe had been fixed.
Looks good so far. The TS is easy to set up and get ready for my coffee in the morning. Sure makes a difference to drink freshly ground coffee. I will never go back to buying pre-grinded beans. Thanks "Klatsch" for getting it to me so quickly. I would buy this machine again.
